Women’s Own Worth (WOW) has opened the application process for the 2021 Spring Education Scholarships. WOW will award ten Arkansas students with a $1,000 scholarship to benefit their educational expenses for the 2021 spring semester.

The 2021 Spring Education Scholarship application requirements are based on the mission of advocating, empowering and providing resources of primary care to victims of domestic violence or those who have suffered from a violent crime.

Applicants must be:

  • A current Arkansas resident
  • A domestic violence survivor or a victim of a violent crime
  • Enrolled in the spring semester of 2021 for any four or two-year higher education school, including any trade schools.

All applicant names and notable story details will be kept confidential. Any content shared on behalf of WOW concerning scholarship winners will be done solely in the spirit of promoting WOW and its mission to advocate, empower and support victims of domestic violence or those impacted by a violent crime.

To apply for the WOW Spring 2021 Educational Scholarship, applicants can visit womensownworth.com and select “Apply for Scholarship”.

Applications will be accepted through Friday, January 8, 2021. Ten winners will be notified no later than January 15, 2021.

Women’s Own Worth is an Arkansas nonprofit that empowers women and their families to regain their self-worth by enabling them to sustain an independent life after suffering the effects of trauma. WOW provides services such as counseling for victims and families, assistance with living arrangements and transportation, dental and physical health, higher education scholarships and victim advocacy.
