Lemont Township High School Graduate Julie Stanwyck Earns Dean’s Award with Distinction at Colgate University and rec
Julie Stanwyck, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2022, has earned the spring 2020 Dean’s Award with Distinction. Stanwyck is a Music major from Lemont, and is a graduate of Lemont Township High School.
Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses during the spring 2020 semester earn the Dean’s Award with Distinction.
Providence Catholic HS Graduate Hunter Dauparas Earns Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence at Colgate University
Hunter Dauparas, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2022, has earned the spring 2020 Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. Dauparas is a Political Science major and a graduate of Providence Catholic HS, from Mokena.
Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses earn the spring 2020 Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.
UW-Whitewater awards nearly $2.2 million in scholarships for 2020-21
The following local student are among the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater scholarship recipients receiving financial awards for the 2020-21 academic year.
Lockport — Shannon Brannick, who is studying accounting, won the Chancellor Scholars
Homer Glen — Hailey Hartford, who is studying elementary education, won the Greenhill Scholarship
Mokena — Abi Baumgartner, who is studying psychology, won the Chancellor Scholars
“Our scholarship winners represent the very best in academic, co-curricular and service excellence across all of our colleges and departments,” Greg Rutzen, president of the UW-Whitewater Foundation, said in a release. “We’re grateful to the many people and organizations – past and present – who have generously donated funds to make these awards a reality. Some of these scholarships were endowed more than 80 years ago, leaving a lasting legacy that has contributed to the success of generations of Warhawks.”
The UW-Whitewater Foundation awarded nearly $2.2 million in scholarships to students. The application period for next year’s scholarships is now open.
Faith Lynn from Mokena Achieves Fall 2020 Dean’s List at Belmont University
Faith Lynn qualified for the Fall 2020 Dean’s List at Belmont University. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
Approximately 55 percent of Belmont’s students this semester qualified for the Fall 2020 Dean’s List.
Belmont Provost Dr. Thomas Burns said in a release, “Achieving the recognition of Dean’s List during the Fall 2020 semester is an extraordinary achievement. While we are always impressed with students’ who are able to achieve this high level of recognition in their academic endeavors, those students that reached this mark in Fall 2020 demonstrated incredible diligence and commitment to their academic work during very unusual and stressful circumstances. We are so pleased to be able to recognize their efforts and our hope is that these students will continue investing in their studies to equip them for a lifetime of learning and service.”
